Don’t know what to wear during this gorgeous season…..no need to worry, we will guide you through the season with a new outfit every week!
This outfit is perfect for the summer! You can dress it up with some cute wedges like pictured above or throw some flats on for a more casual look. The Bloomsbury Tee in Kaleidoscope Print is the perfect tank! This gorgeous print brings all the color into your wardrobe that you were craving for a summery look and the design hides your bra straps so no need to worry about that normally inconvenient part about wearing a tank! Paired beautifully with our Bellini Skirt in Raisin, our comfy, knee-length, A-line skirt with two front pockets and a ruched hem. Save your skin this summer and make sure to wear a hat to protect yourself from those brutal sun rays with our Riviera Floppy Hat in Papaya (now on SALE!) And of course we can’t leave you without a bag to match so don’t miss the oh so popular Moma Tote, also in Papaya so you match your gorgeous sun hat! This whimsical tote features a gorgeous print of a bicycle, multiple inside pockets and two options for straps so you can wear it how you want!

Our Favorites from Sunset Magazine Festival!
June 14th, 2011 | Effie's Heart
Another great weekend at the Sunset Magazine festival! We absolutely love Sunset Magazine and their great annual festival featuring wine seminars, cooking seminars, creative vendors, gardening tips and an absolutely gorgeous landscape. We were especially excited to see that Rick Bayless and Govind Armstrong were among the chefs doing cooking demos:)
Here are some of our favorite things from this year’s festival…not in any particular order. Get your notepad out…there are plenty of great vendors with some amazing products ranging from gardening, jewelry and much more!
Beautifully handmade in California, Sara Paloma Pottery caught our attention immediately. Her pieces are not only a beautiful addition to your home but also the perfect gift for those hard to buy for. Each gorgeous piece is hand made on the wheel and fired in an electric kiln. Check out her web-site where you can purchase pieces directly from her etsy store.
2. Farm Curious
As soon as I saw this Fresh French Goat Cheese for beginners kit I was in love. Â Farm Curious’ tagline is to educate, inspire, and equip the urban homesteader. This company is such a great source for those of us eager to learn a multitude of handy knowledge such as cheese making, wine making, gardening, making home made preserves and much more. I’m so happy to came across this booth…I’m already hooked on their blog which is chock full of great info!
My new love for gardening has opened up so many new things to go shopping for so of course I was stoked to come across the Monkeys Always Look booth. I’m excited to add these gorgeous vintage silverware markers to my garden, they’re such a gorgeous addition to any garden. Their gorgeous home and garden accessories are just one of many things I love, they also create gorgeous stationary, paper, jewelry and baubles. “Organic nature inspired jewelry with an edgy twist, Vintage Silverware Garden Markers, Stationery, and things you never knew you needed but can’t live without!”
4. Orange Slice
Okay, Okay….I know I’m always writing about some fab jewelry company but I’ve never written about lasercut wooden jewelry! I can’t wait to wear the Embroidered Teardrop earrings pictured above that I purchased from the Orange Slice booth. Orange Slice is a small company committed to being as low impact and as environmentally friendly as possible, so not only are you supporting a local jeweler but you can feel eco-proud of your purchase. All Orange Slice jewelry is produced from a high quality, non-toxic, hardwood, laminate that is made in studio from sustainably harvested trees.
5. Papaver Vert
I was drawn to the Papaver Vert booth by these adorable plant cozies. Patty Benson, the innovator behind Papaver Vert creates each unique piece in her studio utilizing the technique of crochet and wet felting wool to create tactile pieces with a contemporary twist. She has given us a new look into home decor that has been restricted by ceramics and glass for far too long and with wool being a renewable resource Patty supports a non-mass produced sensibility.
6. Sparrow Lane
I bought 4 bottles of Sparrow Lane vinegar & olive oil and I’ve already used one of them. These delicious products are the perfect addition for any home cook! They already simplified my cooking since I simply dressed my lunch salad with their Golden Balsamic Vinegar and Olive Oil which was so flavorful that I didn’t need to do anything else! The lovely ladies working the Sparrow Lane booth gave me tastes of everything I wanted and it was truly difficult to walk away with only 4 bottles. Selected from the finest grapes in California, Sparrow Lane sets the standard for quality and flavor in wine vinegars…spruce up your cooking now!
I’m so excited to have come across the Packing Pearls booth, the owner and innovator of this much needed product for any home gardener was a delight to chat with. I had recently asked myself how I was ever going to move some of the potted plants that I have and now I have the solution! Packing Pearls not only make your pots less heavy but they also save you money on expensive soil by not needing so much. They’re reusable, fit any size pot and made in the U.S.A. In 3 easy steps you will have lighter pots and healthier plants…so for all of you gardening aficionados that have a sea of potted plants you no longer have to dread your next move or re-decorating! Can’t wait to use mine!
8. DIG
D.I.G…Design, Interior, Garden. I’m so excited to go to this all inclusive gardening store in Santa Cruz! Products ranging from succulents, terrariums, living wall supplies, urban farming supplies, plants, containers and so much more. In addition to the overwhelmingly large product selection you can also count on DIG for landscape consultations and gardening workshops. Don’t miss this great one stop shop for any and all your gardening needs!
9. Red Skunk Jipzee Swing Band
We were immediately enamored with Pamela Sheffler, the brilliant violinist of the Red Skunk Jipzee Swing Band when she first stepped into our booth to purchase her Stole. She looked great wearing her new Effie’s Heart piece on stage playing so beautifully with her band. The Red Skunks were a real treat to listen to and so inspiring to watch, these young musicians are truly talented. Make sure to check out their music for a real upbeat sound with a throwback to the days of yesteryear….you won’t be able to stop your dancing feet.
10. Bauer Pottery
Our lovely neighbors from the Sunset Festival, Bauer Pottery carry an exquisite line of pottery ranging from dinnerware, garden, serving ware and much more. We especially loved the garden orbs, pictured above as a beautiful addition to any garden. I also was quite fond of their dog & cat bowls in beautiful color palettes. Pair some gorgeous Bauer Pottery with the Packing Pearls listed above, some plants from DIG, gardening markers from Monkeys Always Look and of course a floppy gardening hat from Effie’s Heart and you’ll be on your way to gardening bliss.
11. Effie’s Heart
We would like to thank each and every one of you who stopped by our booth…it’s always a pleasure to chat with all you! Thanks for supporting indie fashion and attending this great event put together by Sunset Magazine!
