Music Inspires Fashion

I went to the concert of my life the other night. Matty Charles was playing at a tiny cafe in a little district called Hayes Valley in San Francisco. I felt like like I was in Chelsea in 1963.

Matty Charles is the most humble of the famous that I have ever met.  His gift for song writing and the way he presents his song will  blow you away.

His Lover in Arms album was the soundtrack I used to design my Spring 2010 collection.  The balcony dress that I am wearing in the pic with Matty Charles is from that collection.

Valentine's Date

Going on a special date always requires the right attire.  At Effie’s Heart, we recommend dressing classic, yet stylish.  And if it’s a first date, your outfit can speak louder than you, so make your first impression a good one.

You don’t want to overwhelm your date by being too revealing before he gets a chance to know who you really are.  Check out these three looks that will not only show off your curves but subtly impress any date.

Thank You for Supporting Indie Fashion!!!

Living in the San Francisco Bay area is both good and bad for an indie fashion business.  The pros are that
inspiration is everywhere.  There are amazing underground designers, artists, musicians, performers.  The cons are that the cost of living in and around S.F. is suffocating.  It is even more difficult for creative independent businesses during this economic armageddon.   My business is staying a float right now thanks to the many friends that have volunteered their time and talents.  Without this magnanimous gratuitous workforce Effie’s Heart would have faded away months ago.  I am also grateful to the dedicated customers who spend the few dollars they have left at the end of the week to purchase their clothes from “Effie’s Heart.”

Thank You for supporting Indie Fashion!!
